BSF Donates $200,000 to ADDRI at Government House
A Gathering of Purpose and Partnership in the Fight Against Asbestos-Related Diseases
Paul Signorelli OAM was honoured to attend a special afternoon tea hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson at Government House, Sydney, on Monday, 7 April 2025.
The event brought together advocates and supporters committed to the shared mission of eliminating asbestos-related diseases and providing care for those affected, both in Australia and across the Commonwealth.
A poignant highlight of the afternoon was the presence of Australian nurses recently returned from the UK, who were thrilled to meet Her Excellency and share their experiences from abroad.
In a powerful show of support for research and treatment, the Biaggio Signorelli Foundation proudly announced a $200,000 donation to the Asbestos Diseases Research Institute (ADDRI). This contribution will directly support the work of the Commonwealth Mesothelioma Alliance and further critical advancements in asbestos-related disease research.
The warmth and generosity of Government House made this a meaningful and memorable occasion. The Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to Her Excellency, Mr Wilson, and the wider community for their continued encouragement and support in advancing this vital cause.
